Thank you to all of our returning and new families who have navigated the crazy first week of school. It is a heroic feat to transport littles from school to ballet, remembering all of their ballet gear. I have seen the tired frantic look on some of your faces. I see you checking your planners to make sure your child is in the correct place at the correct time. You are doing an incredible job! Ballet Arts Academy extends all of the grace as we settle into our new 2023-2024 ballet schedule. Below is a picture of the schedule and the schedule overview has been updated. You can find it on our website under classes – schedule overview.
This summer Ballet Arts Academy is holding their first Junior Summer Intensive. This intensive is for dancers in Ballet Level 1-3 who want to take their training to the next level. Dancers will dance 3 hrs daily in ballet, jazz, stretch, strengthening, sewing, and ballet etiquette.
We saw such an amazing amount of progress with our young dancers who attended our week long Nutcracker Camp last year and wanted to repeat that outcome.
We are excited to work with these young dancers this summer and help them progress in their technical training. Summer is the perfect time for dancers to focus on their ballet training without the distraction of school work and other activities.
Dancers may choose to enroll in one or two weeks of intensive. We also encourage them to take our July Ballet classes as well. Students must have finished Ballet Level 1 before enrolling in the summer intensive. Click buttons below to register.
Has your little one been begging to start ballet? Do they dance around the house night and day? Does your child need to break from their shell and interact with others? Have you been looking for ballet classes in Spokane?
Creative Movement Ballet
We invite you to enroll in Creative Movement ballet for ages 3.5-5. This first ballet class introduces your child to a classroom setting with other children their age. Children build confidence and courage while parents wait just outside the classroom. Students meet new friends and fall in love with their ballet instructors. Young dancers learn to count music and move to different tempos and styles. Students improve gross motor skills such as: galloping, skipping, hopping, jumping, marching and tip toe walking. And lastly, children explore ballet class with their minds wide open and their imaginations fully ignited. They dance like unicorns with ribbon rings held at their backs, move like water as they dance with floating scarves and twirl and pose like the ballerinas of their dreams.

Ballet Short Sessions
Enrolling in short ballet sessions at our Spokane studio is the perfect first introduction to ballet. First, there is one flat fee to enroll for the length of the session. Second, students do not participate in recital so no additional cost is required for costumes or recital fees. And last, the commitment is low and allows parents to determine if their child is interested in pursuing ballet further.
Additional Costs
There is a uniform requirement. The rough estimate is $65 (includes leotard, tights and leather ballet slippers). These may be purchased at the studio for your convenience or from our partner dance shop in Coeur d’ Alene.
Discounts for future short sessions
We have two short session ballet classes starting soon. Additionally Ballet Arts Academy Spokane offers a discount when enrolling in subsequent short sessions. Should you desire a costume and recital opportunity for your child, we have ongoing registration in our year round ballet classes. We are happy to give you more information about cost and class times.
