Rachel Samaha
Rachel Samaha was born in Italy and raised in Belgium. She trained at the Conservatoire De La Monnaie in Brussels, Belgium. She continued her training at Walnut Hill Performing Arts School in Massachusetts, Pacific Northwest Ballet School in Seattle, Washington, and Chicago City Ballet with Maria Tallchief and Paul Mejia. She has trained extensively with master teachers in Brussels, Paris, Cannes, Strasbourg, Chicago, and New York City. In 1984, she accepted a contract with Spokane Ballet. She became a Principal dancer and retired in 1990. Rachel has over 20 years of teaching experience, including running her own ballet school and teaching at several studios. She is a full time high school teacher and mother of three. Yoga, choreographing, and teaching are just a few of her passions.
