Karen Kraft
Karen began her training with Thelma Young, Bill Earl and professionals from the First Chamber Dance Company of Seattle. She later trained in New York at the Joffrey Ballet School on scholarship and David Howard. She was soon asked to join the Joffrey II Dancers where she was invited by Robert Joffrey to join the Joffrey Ballet Company. Later she danced with The Spokane Ballet Company partnering with NYC Ballet and Boston Ballet Soloist Christofer Aponte. Highlights of her performing career include working with Robert Joffrey, Anthony Tudor, Jaques D’Amboise, Laura Dean, Choo San Goh, and performing for the President of the United States (Ronald Reagan). She has a BA degree in Dance from the University of Washington and has been teaching ballet in the Pacific NW for the past 20 years.
