With great sadness we inform you that our beloved Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker tour has been cancelled for the 2020 season. With the complications due to COVID, Ballet Arts Academy is not able to hold Nutcracker auditions this year. We know that so many of you look forward to auditioning each year. Parents and children anxiously wait to hear if they will be cast in a sought after role; whether it be a snowflake, party child, mouse, variation, or snow maiden.
With COVID causing so many cherished activities to take on different appearances this year, we encourage you to create your very own Nutcracker party. Set a date on your calendar, get dressed up, eat a fancy meal and then watch a recorded version of the Nutcracker from the comfort of your home. Pull out those Nutcracker DVD’s and relive those previous performances with family members. If your child was looking forward to auditioning for the first time and you do not have a Nutcracker recording, they may be purchased at nutcracker.com.
