Originally from Ritzville, Amy started dancing at age 3 and continued to study with Ballet
Arts Academy. She received her BA degree in Theatre from Eastern Washington
University and continued studies of movement and dance as a student and working
actor on stage, TV and film in Spokane and Los Angeles. In the course of her career,
Amy also trained in martial arts, kickboxing, boxing, stage combat/weaponry and fight
choreography. She has extensive experience teaching both children and adults various
styles of dance, physical conditioning, and Theatre Arts. Amy is currently an apprentice
Pilates instructor while finishing her 450+ hour certification program through Pilates
Sports Center under Master Teacher Maria Sevilla.
After three surgeries, Amy understands the correlation between Pilates and successful
rehabilitation, as well as its importance to injury prevention and all around health. She
is passionate about the positive impact the Pilates Method has on dance and athleticism.
